Where do we begin?

I want to start this journey by covering some of the basics… what is pain? 

Understanding why and how our bodies experience pain is the foundation 

You’ve got to know what you know and what you don’t know.  And full disclosure, I do not know everything!  What I strive to present to you is the way I understand these topics, simplified “Kate brain” versions of complex neuroscience and pain science theories. A dip-your-toes-in-the-water introduction, so that we can begin to immerse ourselves in the healing journey. 

In addition, I will provide you with useful resources so that you can continue to expand and deepen your knowledge from experts in the field. 

I also want to create a space to provide specific “exercises” and instructional videos for simple movements you can do wherever, whenever. 

Resources with basic tools that are inexpensive and effective. 

And education on movement, specifically safe ways to get moving and how to assess if you are doing the right amount for your body
